Pakistan International Airline, after denying reports by TV channels on an engine of London-bound airbus catching fire, has announced a medal for the pilot for showing “professionalism and for observing safety procedure.” PIA spokesman said that PIA flight PK 787, Karachi to London, took off normally from Jinnah International Airport at 11:25 am and landed safely at 12:20 pm. He said that the Airbus A-310 was airborne for about 55 minutes. “Captain Ahmed Saeed noticed that one of the two engine was malfunctioning and he landed the plane safely back at the airport,” he said, adding that the engineering division was looking at the aircraft while the passengers had been boarded on another plane. Later, PK 787 with 147 passengers and crew took off for London at 3:15 pm to reach Heathrow Airport at 7:15 pm.
Don't waste a medal. Give it to Malala.
What a mind ! ! !
.
If u r a pilot, it's in ur day's job — no medal-ing necessary …
.
Here the medal-ing, i assume, is a poor attempt to divert attention of people noticing the sad state of PIA craft maintenance …
.
Also, don't forget "we are the best" …
