LSE shows marginal improvement

LAHORE – The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) remained bullish on Monday with an improvement in the volume. The LSE 25-shares index added 17.52 points and closed at 3,582.80 against its opening at 3,565.28 levels.
Out of total 102 active scrips, 28 went up, 32 shed value and 42 remained unchanged. The volume of the market remained 4.41 million shares, which was 0.47 million shares more than Friday’s turnover of 3.93 million shares. Nimir Industries Chemical was the volume leader with 1.09 million shares turnover and it added Rs 0.17 closed at Rs 2.70. Silk Bank was the second volume leader with 0.71 million shares turnover and it lost Rs 0.1 to close at Rs 2.35.
Engro Corporation was the major gainer and it added Rs 3.58 to close at Rs 214.25 against its opening at Rs 210.67. Oil and Gas Development was the major loser and it declined Rs 2.04 to close at Rs 165 against its opening at Rs 167.04.
