Zhob explosion kills two FC personnel

An explosion near the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Balochistan’s Zhob district killed two FC personnel and injured several others on Friday morning.
According to security sources, the explosive material was inside the belongings of two suspects, who were taken into custody near the Pak-Afghan border area and were being shifted to the FC Headquarters in Zhob when the blast occurred.
Two FC personnel died on the spot whereas several others were injured who were rushed to the District Hospital. An FC vehicle was completely destroyed.
Commandant FC Talat Masood said that it was a suicide bombing. “A patrolling party of FC when stopped a suspected vehicle the men in the vehicle detonated their explosives,” he said
The sources said the security forces men intercepted a vehicle coming from Waziristan at a check post and searched it. Having found explosives in the vehicle, the security men arrested the two men sitting in the vehicle.
The security men were escorting the seized vehicle when the explosives went off near Zhob FC headquarters, killing both the security personnel.
Meantime, the suspected persons have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogations.
