Divisional Public School (DPS) clinched the 5th Inter Schools, Colleges Games 2012 title with overall 749 points and was awarded winners trophy at the concluding ceremony held at Railway Stadium on Wednesday. Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Chief Gen (retd) Arif Hassan and Punjab Olympic Association (PbOA) Chief Syed Shahid Ali Shah, who is IOC member in Pakistan, were chief guests at the concluding ceremony while PbOA Secretary Idris Haider Khawaja, Organising Secretary Tania Malik, Waqar Ali, Ch Rizwan, Salman Butt and other sports related personalities were also present there.
In school boys’, Don Bosco Urdu Medium claimed the first position with 155 points, LGS Paragon was second with 150 points while DPS earned third position gaining 134 points. Superior College clinched the first position in the College boys’ category with 190 points while Aitcheson grabbed second potion with 150 points and Govt Islamia College Railway Road got third position with 145 points.In school girls’ category, Adabistan-e-Sofia notched up first position with with 542 points, Sacred Heart was second with 297 points while Beaconhouse Gulberg third with 216 points. LGS 55 Main Gulberg claimed the first position in the girls’ college category with 204 points, Kinnaird won second position with 200 points and Govt College University earned the third position with 193 points.
