TMA removes wall-chalking, banners from Rawal Town

Town Municipal Administration (TMA) of Rawal Town, under its special campaign removed three hundred banners and posters from several city areas.
According to details, on the directives of Rawal Town Administrator Saif Anwar Jappa the administration had started the drive to remove wall-chalking from all main city roads.
Around six FIRs against wall-chalking ban violators had also been lodged with the respective police stations. Under the campaign, banners, posters and other advertising material had been removed from Benazir Bhutto Road, Saidpur Road, Sixth Road, Liaquat Road, Satellite Town, Iqbal Road, Jamia Masjid Road, Raja Bazaar, Commercial Market, Khiaban-e-Sir-Syed, Jinnah Road, Gunjmandi and other main city areas.
Special teams under the supervision of Encroachment Superintendent Pervaiz Mughal and other officials had removed wall chalking from several areas. Special squads constituted in this regard had removed wall-chalking, banners and posters mainly from the both sides of Benazir Bhutto Road from Mareer Chowk to Faizabad.
Staff members were also sent to erase wall-chalking at Sixth Road, Fifth Road, Fourth-B Road and Saidpur road, the Rawal Town spokesman said while talking to APP.
Rawal Town administrator urged citizens to cooperate with the administration staff to make the city neat and clean so that the residents could be provided a healthy and beautiful environment.
The practice of wall-chalking should be avoided as it gives an ugly look to the city streets, he said, and warned that cases would also be registered against violators of the ban.
