Shahbaz hopeful despite corruption

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif expressed hope that despite several ills prevalent in the country, the nation will soon witness good times.
Addressing students here Government College University (GCU) on Thursday, Sharif said when he came into power, corruption was in full swing.
He said that nothing had changed in the past 65 years but hoped that through untiring efforts, the nation will regain its stature in the near future.
The CM said that after coming into power through the upcoming general polls, PML-N would restore its previous status through hard work and providing relief to the masses.
Indian Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was also present on the occasion and linked good governance with rule of law, saying impartiality of the government would lead to establishment of rule of law.
Addressing students at GCU, the Bihar CM said implementation of law led to pursuance of cases against criminals and ultimately convictions were bound to come to the forefront.
He said that prosecution became active only as a result of implementation of law and that the will of the government was needed to implement law.
