Govt taking measures to improve Karachi situation: PM

Prime Minister (PM) Raja Pervez Ashraf assured a delegation of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) that the government is taking all necessary steps for restoring peace in Karachi and the situation would improve in a few days. The MQM delegation comprised Babar Ghauri, Waseem Akhtar, Abdul Qadir Khanzada and Asif Hasnain. They apprised the PM about the situation in Karachi. Ashraf told the delegation that he had directed Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to utilise all resources in restoring peace to Karachi. Sources said that a delegation of the MQM is also expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday evening.
