The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated inquiry against two generals and four brigadiers on charges of corruption in DHA Islamabad.
The military officers are accused of signing and implementing three controversial contracts with Bahria Town that resulted in losses of around Rs 100 billion to DHA, while about 150,000 people lost their savings.
Those who lost their lifetime savings include serving and former military officers, JCOs, NCOs and civilians, Lt Col (r) M Tariq Kamal said in a statement issued on Thursday. He said the internal accountability system of defence forces was getting ineffective and had brought a bad name to army as senior military officers were being dragged in courts.
He said the only way to save the reputation of the institution responsible for safeguarding geographical and ideological boundaries was to introduce a foolproof accountability system in defence forces that deterred servicemen from indulging in any wrongdoing. “Irregularities in the defence forces should be taken seriously and resolved before any public uproar or involvement of NAB, Public Accounts Committee, media or any other organisation,” he recommended.
Col (r) Tariq said the higher judiciary was a beacon of hope for the people of Pakistan without which they had no future. Similarly, the media had become very important player in pointing out weaknesses in the system and recommending improvements. He said apart from those who entered into illegal contracts with Bahria Town to deprive masses of billions of rupees, officials of DHA Islamabad who were executing these contracts and those who were ignoring the probe were equally responsible.
If DHAi purchased illegal land then court should be take action on it.Bahria Town just complete its contract.
there is no one here like CoColonel (Rtd) Inam-ur-Rehman who can file corruption detail of kyani or his brother a retired Brigadier now working in all major DHA projects. or might be all are afraid of what happened to him in court just a day ago.
This man is too accurate in his professional approach and trying to be declared as insane by king's men who are trying best to "put their humpty dumpty together again"

all is well
well if DHA is found in any illegal activity or acquired illegal land then the culprit should be punished……………………………..and i dont think so if bahria town or any other company binding in a contract with DHA so it dosnt mean that its a illegal contract coz they contracted as a third party…………………..
If the mentioned army officers are claimed and later proved to be the corrupt officials of DHAI then they should be punished but to all those who think that it will punish Bahria Town as well then it’s just a dream of them because legally Bahria Town is just a contractor to DHAI and that’s it.
