Malik Riaz, former chief executive of Bahria Town, has expressed a lack of trust in the Shoaib Suddle Commission, saying he did not expect justice from the body.
Talking to reporters after appearing before the commission on Tuesday, Riaz said inquiries were being conducted by FIA in respect of Musa Gilani, Aslam Beg and Malik Riaz, adding that he had been facing such inquiries for the last 16 years.
“On the other hand, a five star Shoaib Suddle Commission has been constituted for investigating the Arsalan Iftikhar case,” he observed.
“Justice should be equal for every one,” he said. “Arsalan Iftikhar should be treated during the course of administration of justice the way a common man is treated,” he added.
Riaz said Arsalan should not be given VIP treatment.
To a question, he said his passport had not been demanded and if it was sought, “I will be ready to hand it over to the court rather than the Suddle Commission”.
Talking to reporters before appearing before the commission, Riaz said he was going to tell the commission that he did not recognise it nor did he accept it.
“I have no trust in any commission, including the Shoaib Suddle Commission. I repose trust only in a commission which holds across the board accountability, therefore, I don’t accept proceedings of this commission,” he said.
Zahid Bokhari, counsel for Riaz, said, “We have challenged the constitutional position of the commission in Supreme Court, as this commission had completed its constitutional term on October 5.”
It clearly means he is unable to set price of Suddle as per his habit.
so it means few are not for sale in this town.
