Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stalwart Iqbal Haider was laid to rest in Jannat-ul-Baqi graveyard, Hub River Road on Monday.
Iqbal Haider was an internationally acknowledged human rights activist and also served Pakistan as a Federal minister. The Funereal prayers of the deceased were held at Imambargah Yasrab DHA-IV. Along with family members, friends, students and colleagues, Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, Senator Saeed Ghani, Sindh PPP General Secretary Sindh Taj Haider, Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, MQM leaders Dr Farooq Sattar, Raza Haroon and Waseem Aftab offered his fueneral prayers.
Iqbal Haider was 67 years old and was suffering from a chronic lungs condition. He passed away on Sunday at a local hospital.
