This Diwali marks a big first for many star kids in the film industry. And, their parents are making sure that the day is celebrated real big. Actor couple Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan will go the extra mile with the festivities because it is not just their daughter Aaradhya’s first Diwali but also her first birthday three days later. A source reveals, “Grandpa Amitabh Bachchan is leaving no stone unturned and has ordered 200 kandils (paper lanterns) from a well-known manufacturer in Thane — Kailash Desle, who specialises in making eco-friendly decorative items. The entire Bachchan house will be adorned with them.” Of course, preparations to ring in Aaradhya’s first birthday, just three days after Diwali, on November 16, are going on alongside. Actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her industrialist husband Raj Kundra also have grand plans for their five-month-old son Viaan Raj Kundra. “He is the light of our lives and what better than to celebrate Diwali with him. We will make our son’s first Diwali special,” says Shilpa who is also hosting a card party at her house on Diwali. Actor Celina Jaitly and her hotelier husband Peter Haag have donated to a charitable organisation to bring in their seven-month-old twin sons Winston and Viraj’s first Diwali. “On behalf of our sons, we donated Diwali crackers, sweets and clothes to an organisation of less fortunate kids. We want our children to grow up to be caring, human beings,” she says.
