The Lahore High Court on Tuesday summoned leaders of protesting doctors on a petition filed by Punjab government seeking an end to the medic’s province-wide strike. The Punjab government filed a petition in the LHC, stating that doctor’s strike was contempt of the court as it has already ordered the doctors not to boycott OPDs in government hospitals. Leaders of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) will appear before the LHC to justify their ongoing protest they are carrying on to press the authorities for the acceptance of their demands. The doctors have announced a sit-in outside the Chief Minister House on Wednesday.
