A wedding ceremony turned into a mourning procession when a drunken son mistakenly shot dead his father in an aerial fire, late Sunday night. According to details, the accused identified as Javed, opened aerial firing in jubilation during the ceremony in Khewa area of Jhang. A bullet ended up hitting his father Dost Muhammad, killing him on the spot. After realising the gravity of the situation, the accused managed to flee from the scene. Eye witnesses said that Javed was drunk at the time of the incident. Dead body of the deceased was shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Jhang for post-mortem. Police have registered a case against the murderer and conducted raids for his arrest.
