An Indian trooper was killed while another was injured in an attack by Naxals rebels on a security post in Indain eastern state of Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district on Sunday. According to Indian media reports, the attack took place early morning in the Bacheli complex of Indian National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) mines, which is guarded by the paramilitary. The Naxals rebels have also looted two weapons, a senior official said. Security forces have launched a combing operation in the area and reinforcements have been rushed. The Bacheli-Kirandul complex has witnessed a number of naxal attacks and six CISF men were killed earlier this year in a similar ambush attack carried out by the ultras in this Naxal hotbed of Dantewada in the Bastar region of the state.
