CJP forms seven benches to hear important cases during the week

The Chief Justice of Supreme Court Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has constituted seven benches to hear important case during the week beginning from Monday.
According to the ’cause list’ issued by the supreme court, the first bench consists of the Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, Justice Justice Gulzar Ahmad and Justice Azmat Saeed that will take up important cases including Rental Power Plants and bail application of opposition leader in the Balochistan Assembly Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind. It will also hear the application of PTI Chief Imran Khan about entry of bogus votes on 7th November.
During the last hearing the court had tagged the application about giving right to vote to overseas Pakistanis with the application of Imran Khan.
Another bench comprising Justice Jawad S Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain will take up for hearing the review petition of Malik Riaz in the Arsalan Iftikhar case and extension in the tenure of Shoaib Suddle Commission.

  1. The performance of the CS is pathetic; issues of national importance are still pending like
    a) massive rigging of 2008 elections-37m fake votes out of 82m.
    b) Holding of top executive positions like president, prime minister and governors by convicted and criminals…SC has failed to adress this and 04 years have passed.
