‘A new Pakistan next year’

Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has predicted that the nation would see a new Pakistan coming into being in 2013, the year of election.
Talking to media at the airport here, Imran Khan said that he was interrogated at the Toronto airport for his stance against drone attacks.
“I am cool. Such intimidating tactics cannot faze me. I was absolutely not upset at having to spend three or four hours at an airport against my will. It’s not a big deal for me”, Khan said.
He found the government’s sewing up their lips over the maltreatment he received in Canada very regrettable.
“I am head of a large political party of Pakistan and my detention and interrogation by US Immigration authorities in Canada is in fact insult of the whole Pakistani nation,” he said.
“The hush in the Presidency and Prime Minister House speaks volumes about how they have taken this incident”, he said.
To a question, he said PTI was registered in US as a political party, adding, around Rs70 million had been raised for party election in US alone.
“Though, conducting party elections was a daunting task, but this month would see us doing it come what may,” said an inspirational PTI leader.
He also referred to JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman facing the same situation at Duabi airport sometime back.
“ I condemned it loud and clear when Maulana was stopped at the airport, but it appears he has forgotten it.”

  7. What sir, may we know, was the purpose of visiting Canade & USA? If it was to organize protests against drone attacks, the detention and interrogation is understandable.

    • perhaps you are living in world of fools. Mr. Khan is well known in the western world and USA Canada. He had gone to collect funds for election campaign which is normal phenomena. Detaining a respectable Pakistani is an insult of Pakistan. Such like untoward incident was faced by an Indian national. Indians replied in the same coin. You did not know what is a respect of Pakistani national

        • Since you can read & write ( and thus "educated")-you need to tell us what are yor credentials to call some one names. I can BET that you are someone who can sit & talk slick (on questionable inheritance) but when it comes to what matters -there is nothing to show.           • I have a few different oiontps. 1st the 35 grand you have, at what interest rate is it growing at? if you are make 10 to 12% you might not want to touch it. It is much different collecting 10 to 12% than paying 5 to 6%. Also if you are living at home w/ parents you should have your money in other money market accounts where it can grow more aggressively. 2ND if you correct the 1st part the comparison will not even compare. If you make 200 a month off the property only putting 20% down you will still be in a win win situation. It may not look like it now but the interest you pay will be tax deducible. And most of all if you are wanting to put down more money make sure to buy down your points to have a cheaper interest rate. Good Luck.

  10. IK is a responsible & mature politician-that means he will do what he thinks is Right. His time will come when he can make policy decisions and set the course for future. USA can do whatever it likes- maybe it is their opinion that IK does not deserve diplomatic protocol. IK has always maintained that h e is against the US Policies and NOT against the people or country (which has good people in it as well). I would not worry about the Negative Comment Bandwagon (the number is so small and the comments so irrelevant) but let’s make sure that WE the IK supporters vote for him on the day-that should be our goal.

  11. IK is an established B*E*G*G*E*R – he used to beg money for hospital and now for his party, in both cases the money the comes to his pocket and is spent on his discretion.

    His only stance is to gather all the agitator on one Platform, be those agitators are against USA or the Government in power, IK is just use the people's hate for his purpose / objective to become PM.

    • Your derogatory comments deserve a sharp reply. IK stands for honesty, integrity and hard work. Your belief that the a good cause like building a mega-hospital can be done without “begging” means that you have never worked hard and don’t know anything about integrity. Once IK is in chair then he will “BEG” you & your clan/tribe for paying of FULL taxes, import duty, and all that you have been avoiding (theft) to pay until now. I am sure this disclosure may have shaken you so time to run away –maybe outside Pakistan-but that is where you will find out about the above values of hard work and paying full taxes and come back to respect IK.

  12. US is using drone because the ruling elite, both political and military is allowing them to do it because they survive on the US dollars. We have Mir Jafirs and Mir Sadiqs in power.

    It will be definitely a new Pakistan if Imran and PTI comes to power as we all have seen the others family cartels in actions more than few times now! Imran was a hero of Pakistan and will remain so. The paid thugary and low life comments doesnt matter!

  20. No doubt Imran Khan has a great leadership quality. He is different from other due to his sincerity and true struggle for the people of Pakistan. I know such comments for this great man will have no respect in front of his rivals but time will INSHAALLAH prove what his intention and we can trust him because whatever he said in the past he proved them. Please do not go against anyone who are sincere to this nation.

  24. after Oct 30th Lahore show I am keenly watching PTI's road map for a new pakistan in 2013, i would however comment with disappointment that no concrete polices on any count, which could possiblly lead to any positive change and impress general public, have been observed. The idealests enthusistically persuing PTI are now justifying that Imran should be given a chance as the remaining one's have already been tested. I would rather like to suggest the PTI leadership to proceed to initiate following actions before the general elections so that the party is revitalized :-
    (i) Mount pressure on government and opposition through media and public rallies/sit ins for legislation on (a) Banning cigrate manufacturing in the
    country/banning smoking (b) Banning pann, chahlia (betalnuts, betal leaves) in the c ountry (c) the sons of all politiciens ( of elected MNAs MPAs) should serve for two years in Siachin and North Wazirestan sectors for the national security (d) Parliament to legislate for entrusting the recruting appointing of all employments from BS 1 to BS 22 through Federal Public Service Commmission (e) political interference in the transfer postings of public servents should amount to disqualification of the involved
    MPs. (ii) Announce support for the Kala Bagh dam irrespective of the consequences.
    Since all these steps are in best public interest therefore if the govt & opposition will b e compelled to legislate on these issues, thus the credit will go to PTI, if the govt and opposition do not proceed tolegislate, they will lose their public support and ultimately PTI will gain support and trust.
