The Pakistan Cricket Board is not satisfied with the reply of the show cause notice of Secretary Lahore City Cricket Association Mian Javed Ali and has issued him another notice for violating the PCB conduct of holder of office rules and code of conduct for members of PCB general body . “His (Javed’s) reply is not satisfactory and PCB authorities believe that he twisted the facts in it and also tried to conceal facts and he has been given a weeks time to submit his detailed reply after which the case will be decided “,said the sources in PCB here on Wednesday. Javed was issued a show cause notice on September 27 for his out-burst against President, LCCA, Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed and working of the LCCA on a TV show which forced the PCB to take notice of the situation and to come up with a disciplinary measure. The fresh notice says that Javed in his reply, submitted on October 23, has narrated that he did not make any negative statement against the working of LCCA and its President whereas in the notice fifteen points regarding his comments on the tv show have been raised and their explanation has been sought form him. “It is serious issue which speak not only the volume of violation of code of conduct but also of indiscipline and PCB is dealing such matters as per the laid down rules and regulations without showing any soft corner,” they said. “The aim of implementing the code of conduct on the office bearers of the regional bodies is to ensure troube-free working of the regional bodies,” he added. The sources said that PCB is looking into the matter seriously as it relates to the regional bodies which are working under the control of PCB. They dispelled the impression that issuing another notice to Javed was aiming to extend him any favour or to adopt delaying tactics to linger on the issue. “There is nothing such going on and PCB will be deciding this issue on merit and that is why Javed has been issued another notice to answer certain queries to conclude it early as possible,” they said. They also clarified that no official of the PCB was in league with Javed to give him assurance that he will escape the disciplinary action to be initiated by the PCB. “KCCA Secretary Ijaz Farooqi was banned for indefinite time period for a similar offence and he completed one full year ban,” they concluded.
