India beat Pakistan to lift Women’s Asia T20 cup

India won the ACC Women’s T20 Cup on Wednesday defeating Pakistan by 18 runs at Guangzho in China, media reports said.
Chasing only 82 to win, Pakistan struggled to build any momentum and were all out for 63 runs.
Earlier, captain Sana Mir bagged four wickets for 13 as Pakistan restricted India to 81 in their allotted 20 overs after they opted to bat first against the Green Shirts.
Poonam Raut (25), Harmanpreet Kaur (20) and Reema Malhotra (22) contributed with the bat to take India to 81.
India has set a target of 82 runs for Pakistan to win in the final of Women’s Asia Cup being played on Wednesday but Pakistan managed only 63 runs in less than allotted overs.
Indian team winning the toss opted to bat. They were all out for 81 runs in 20 overs. Indian batswomen were nervy at the start and early wickets compounded the pressure and Pakistan took full advantage of the situation. B.G. Poonum Raut scoring 25, Reema Malhotra 22 and Harmanpreet Kaur 20 remained prominent from Indian side.
A good show by the Pakistan women bowlers and they were backed-up well by the fielders. They were at the top of their game today, held on to all the catches that came their way and its advantage Pakistan here. Sana Mir excelling took 4 wickets, while Bisma Maroof and Maryam Hassan plucked 2 wickets each.
