Pakistan, India to clash in Women’s T20 Asia Cup final

The final of women’s Twenty-20 Asia Cup will be played between India and Pakistan at Guanggong International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday (October 31). This match will start at 10.30 hours (IST).
Despite rain washing out the semi-final clash between India and Sri Lanka in Guangzhou, on Tuesday (October 30), Indian eves advanced to the Women’s Twenty-20 Asia Cup final by the virtue of topping their pool. In the second semi final, Pakistan beat Bangladesh by six wickets. The final will be the second match between two teams in Asia Cup and fifth Twenty-20 match overall. India have won three and Pakistan one in four previous Twenty-20 matches played between the two sides.
India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets when two teams met first time in a Twenty-20 match at Taunton on June 13,2009. They recorded a nine-wicket win over Pakistan in the second match at , Basseterre on May 8, 2010.
Pakistan recorded their only victory over India in Twenty-20 cricket by winning the league match of the 2012 Twenty-20 World Cup by one run at Galle on October 1,2012.
India defeated Pakistan by eight wickets in the league match of the Current tournament at Guanggong International Cricket Stadium on October 28.

In the same match, Sana Mir achieved the highest ever individual score for Pakistan women against Indian women by making 35 off 41 balls with three fours.
BEST BOWLING PERFORMANCES: Priyanka Roy’s five for 16 in 3.5 overs at Taunton on June 13, 2009 is the best bowling performance for Indian women against Pakistan women. The record of best bowling for Pakistan women against Indian women is held by Nida Dar who took three wickets for 12 runs at Galle on October 1, 2012.
