President Asif Ali Zardari has said that national security and sovereignty would be kept supreme under all circumstances adding that all defense needs of the armed forces would be ensured.
He expressed these views while talking to Chairman Joint Chiefs General Khalid Shamim who called on the President Asif Ali Zardari here on Thursday.
Matters related to national security and professional matters of armed forces were discussed, according to sources.
Sources said President reiterated that national security is our top most priority and no compromise would be made. Vowing to fight terrorism, he said that we would not cow down before a handful terrorists and would eliminate terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
President expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the armed forces and said that all defense needs of the armed forces would be met despite financial constraints, sources said.
