Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Muhammad Haroon Agar, requested Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Ali Arshad Hakeem to extend the deadline for filing of Income Tax Return to November 15.
KCCI president mentioned various reasons in favour of the delay in a letter addressed to Arshad Hakeem and maintained that the law and order situation prevalent especially in Karachi and the coming holidays of Eid-Ul-Azha, may result in many industrialists to fault on their payments of taxes. He said the members of KCCI were contacting him daily for progress on the issue. KKCI president said that he was confident that FBR chairman would take immediate action regarding the genuine demands of the business community and asked all business men of the city to file their taxed by NOV 15 for the betterment of the country and its residents.
