Nine arrested for trafficking children to Iran

KHAIRPUR: Police have claimed to arrest nine members of Inter-Provincial group involved in disabled children’s trafficking to Iran for begging the other day. Khairpur District Police Officer (DPO) Khadim Hussain Rind said in a press conference that the police had arrested nine people who used to smuggle handicapped children to Iran where they were positioned at the shrines and every child used to collect Rs fifty thousand per month. He said that Sarang Jaffery, Laiq Jaffery, Wahab Jaffery, Khadim Jaffery, Baigo Jaffery, Deedar Jaffery, Badar-ud-Din Balaidi, Khadim Jatoi, Mumtaz Ajan were among the culprits who were arrested from Tando Masti, Shikarpur and several other areas.

It is indeed sad that two countries whose state religion is Islam are indulging in a heinous crime such as trafficking of handicapped children and that making them sit outside the shrines of persons who taught the world about human and child rights. people should be taken to task for committing such a crime and the state should be rebuked at international level for allowing such acts to take place within their borders.
