The judicial magistrate on Thursday sent to jail Punjab chief minister’s son-in-law Ali Imran on 14 days judicial remand on allegedly beating the bakery employee.
Defence Police Station arrested CM’s son-in-law Ali Imran under Section 109 of Pakistan Penal Code and produced him before the judicial magistrate in local court.
During the hearing, the police requested the court to send him on judicial remand. The court approved the request and sent Imran on 14-day judicial remand.
Soon after the remand, Imran’s counsel also filed bail plea in the court which will be heard today (Friday). The court has also issued notice to concerned SHO of police station for bail application.
Ali Imran is accused of assaulting a young bakery worker for not serving his wife and Shahbaz Sharif’s daughter Rabia Imran.
Earlier, Punjab chief minister instructed the authorities to incriminate Ali Imran in the assault case.
The incident came to light when a CCTV video surfaced on social media websites showing the bakery employee being beaten by guards.
Shahbaz orders police to ‘fulfil demands of justice’
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday said that rich and poor are equal before the court of law and the societies which do not uphold justice cannot survive.
He announced that he has issued instructions to police authorities to fulfil the demands of justice in the bakery torture case. He said that as soon as the matter came to his notice, immediate action was taken and the demands of justice were met. He said that it is his firm belief that no one is above the law and it is his responsibility to provide justice to every citizen without any discrimination.
Poor Ali Imran is the secrificial animal for this Eid ul Azha from Shahbaz Sharif.He has tried to shield his daughter who is the main culprit. This is a bigger traversity that an innocent person is being persecuted.Shahbaz Sharif has lived upto his reputation.
