Another polio case was confirmed in Sherani district, some 340 kilometres away from Quetta, on Thursday, taking the number of affected children to four in the current year.
A WHO official, Dr Mohammad Farooq said a 3-year-old boy, Najeebullah, was tested positive for the virus. He said the child had never been administered polio drops.
It is the fourth polio case reported from Sherani district while three cases had been reported in Quetta in 2012.
