The government of Sindh has extended financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to an ailing artist, Zeenat Shaikh. Director General of Culture Dr Muhammad Ali visited a local hospital to inquire after the health of Zeenat Shaikh. He also handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 to the ailing artist on behalf of the government of Sindh.
Sindh Minister for Culture Sassi Palejo also expressed concern over the ailment of Zeenat Shaikh and said she is a prominent artist of Sindh and has spread the Sindhi folk music in every nook and corner.
She said that the provincial culture department is looking after the artists who are serving the cause of fine arts and culture.
