The Airport Security Force (ASF), on Thursday, spotted an unattended bag in the parking area of Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad, which caused the police and bomb disposal squad to rush the spot. The bomb disposal squad immediately reached there and opened the bag in a specialized manner. The bag, which contained perfumes and cosmetics, opened with a small bang caused by the gas used by experts to check the bag, which created panic. Rejecting the impression that a firecracker blast had occurred at the airport, Raja Waheed the security head, said that the sound heard at the airport was caused by a method adopted by the bomb disposal squad for opening the bag. The squad had recovered no particles of a firecracker from the site.
