The inquiry against the alleged anomalies of acting headmistress of the Girls Elementary School, Tredewala Chak No. 13 could not be started after the passage of several days on the adjournment motion presented by a woman MPA in the Punjab assembly. Taking notice of the motion, the Punjab education department had directed the Kasur Executive district Officer (EDO) Education, Iftikhar Butt to immediately conduct an inquiry into the matter but owing to political pressure the said officer could not launch an inquiry against the acting headmistress Khalida Parveen. The Parents Association and dwellers of the area had expressed concern over the appointment of a grade-14 teacher as acting headmistress against grade 16. They demanded from the provincial government to fill the vacant post of headmistress lying vacant for the last six months in the school. When contacted, the Kasur EDO education said that inquiry against the acting headmistress was in progress and a final report in this regard would be submitted to the education department soon.
