Federal Ministry of Water and Power on Sunday took serious notice of unlawfully locking the office of director customers services LESCO. Lahore High Court, on October 2, had suspended the appointment order of chief executive officer of LESCO Zia Ul Latif. Meanwhile, a suspension order of Director Customers Services LESCO Khalid Mahmood by Zia Ul Latif was also declared unlawful. Zia Ul Latif had appointed his class fellow, Irshad Rafiq, in place of Khalid Mahmood. In compliance with the court order, Khalid Mahmood resumed his duties and worked for three days and all of a sudden on forth day his office was locked by the management unlawfully. The federal ministry took serious notice and sought a detailed report from concerned quarters for the sorry state of affairs prevailing in the LESCO, the largest electric company in the country.
