The Ministry of Finance on Sunday approved an increase in POL prices except diesel, as well as a hike in CNG rates, to be effective from Monday 12am. The summary was moved by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority. Petrol price has been raised by Rs 3.04 per litre, while the price of diesel went down by Rs 2.70. Kerosene oil price will go up by Rs 0.70 per litre and light diesel by Rs 0.47 per litre. Following the hike in CNG prices, its price in region-I will rise by Rs 2.78 per kilogramme, while it would cost Rs 2.54 per kilogramme more in region-II. Per the notification, the new price of petrol will be Rs 105.49 per litre, kerosene Rs 101.95 per litre and light diesel Rs 96.70 per litre, while new price for high speed diesel would become Rs 110.46 per litre.
