Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday said he decided to leave the President’s House the day his son was arrested just after he came out of the Presidency.
“The government seemed helpless over the arrest of my son,” he said, adding that he had even not informed the president about his departure from the Presidency.
“I lived in President House for four months and I have no complaints against the president,” he said. Gilani said if the letter to Swiss authorities was written without exemption of president, it would be equal to rebellion. He said when the NA speaker’s ruling was rejected and an elected prime minister was ousted, the parliament should have raised voice against the illegal and unconstitutional step taken by the establishment.
Throwing light on current situation in the country, he said a “Bangladesh model” had become the hallmark of the day, adding that verdicts of judiciary were being followed, while the parliament was being neglected and rejected. “When I was sacked, high officials of bureaucracy were also transferred,” Gilani said. He said important decisions were being taken somewhere else than parliament, adding that he had taken the decision regarding letter to Swiss authorities while keeping in view the stability of the government, party worth and his conscience.
Gilani made it clear that if he was involved in the investigation regarding ephedrine case, he would confess the crime.

  2. Sorry charlie, you would never confess any crime,we all know who you really are.Like father like son, corruption runs in the family, corruption runs in the party, corruption is running the country. You are no longer part of the government,so go away and stop trying to be a hero Mr> ZERO.

  3. MR Gillo..you left presidency the day your son was arrested.. it shows you were staying there to cover your and your son's corruption. By staying there you thought to influence those who are trying to bring your son to justice..Wah Gillo Wah!

  4. President's house is the official residence of the president of Pakistan. All expenses associated with the presidency are paid for with the tax payer's money. gillani was neither the president nor a part of his family. The only family ties he had to zardari's family was that Batool Gillani was being banged by zardari and all his guests/associates. gillani had no business staying in the presidency in the first place. If he had any shame, he would left the day he got convicted. zardari played him like a drum.

  5. what ever treatment is being to Gillo..he surely deserves it. He should be thrown in the sea like OBL.

  6. Mr gillani you are not more a part of this corrupt govt, whether you can,t save your son in presidency during your party govt, keep in mind that you would never save your whole family after some months.

Barey Bey Abro Ho Kar Teray Kochey Sey Hum Niklay.

Dont worry Mr. Gillani, you follow the adage that "BUDNAM HONN GEY TO KIA NAAM NA HO GA."

  8. The heading speaks loudly about the fellow's priorities.. Personal considerations above everything else. Gilani is the ugly face of politicians; corrupt to the hilt and shameless as a donkey.

  9. Friends, you are missing the point Mr Gillani is making. He may have a 1000 faults, but he is pointing to the fact that ARMY is now DIRECTLY ruling and even Zardari has no pwer. So, if we accept an "indirect" rule of the ARMY, we should disband the Election Commisssion.
