Pak offers best returns to companies: Sherry

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Sherry Rehman said that Pakistan offered best rates of return to the business companies and that the American companies could benefit from the business and investment opportunities in Pakistan.
She expressed these views at the two-day US-Pakistan Business Opportunities Conference which started in London with a reception hosted by the US Ambassador to the UK Louis B. Susman in honour of the participants of the Conference.
The Conference is an initiative of the office of United States Trade Representative (USTR) and the Government of Pakistan. The event which is being attended by the big business companies of the US and Pakistan aims at providing trade and investment opportunities in the two countries.
Addressing on the occasion, the US Ambassador Susman said that the purpose of the Conference was to bring the business community of the US and Pakistan together to explore trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
He said that durable economy was key to stability in Pakistan and that’s why the US was in favour of trade with Pakistan instead of aid. He hoped that the US-Pakistan economic partnership would further strengthen.

She appreciated the idea of bringing the businesses of the two countries together.
Michael Delaney, Assistant USTR said that the Conference would provide an excellent networking opportunity to the businesses of the two countries and that he was confident of the productive outcome of the initiative. He further said that US-Pakistan trade relationship never saw ups and downs and had always been mutually beneficial.
Pakistan High Commissioner for UK Mr Wajid Shamsul Hasan, Salim H. Madviwala Chairman Board of Investment, and Secretary Commerce Mr Munir Qureshi also attended the reception.
