Partial strike continued in interior Sindh on third consecutive day against Sindh People’s Local Government Bill (SPLGB) as main commercial centre remain closed even in the ancestral district of President Asif Ali Zardari here on Wednesday. Meanwhile, police reported to have lodged an FIR against some 400 persons under anti-terrorism section involved in incidents of violence and setting ablaze airport police station. Sources said Rangers and police personnel in their joint search operation arrested 20 rioters including the district president, general secretary of Sindh Progressive Party and sent them to the anti-terrorism court for seeking their physical remand.
Owing to strike against SPLGB the most of the public and private transport in Nawabshah, Karachi and internal Sindh remained off the road.
Police and Rangers personnel continued the patrolling in the area to maintain law and order situation and thwart and untoward incident.
