Cases against Future Concern: government officers summoned

The Lahore High Court on Friday summoned secretary interior, DG Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and SSP (operations) for October 1, on petitions against an immigration consultant company owner who is allegedly involved in swindling money from people on account of sending them abroad.
Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi passed orders on 15 petitions filed by various petitioners against Asim Malik, owner of Future Concern Limited.
Earlier, Asim Malik’s counsel presenting a medical certificate submitted that his client was ill and therefore, be excused from appearing in court. The court terming the medical certificate as unsatisfactory summoned the doctor who issued the certificate on the next date of hearing. The FIA officials told the court that investigation officer Jawad Quershi had been placed at Punjab government’s disposal after being transferred and Khadim Hussain Bhatti had been appointed as the new investigation officer for the matter.

  1. I sincerely hope that this scounder (Asim Malik) is put behind the bars this time. LHC will be surprised to know the names of people who were partners in crime with Asim Malik. Yes, people who hold public offices in white buildings in Islamabad near Margalla hills. Not only those but also the people who were or maybe still are on permenant payroll of Asim Malik outside his office.
