Senator Yousuf Baloch said Wednesday that Lyari was citadel of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP). According to a statement issued, he was talking to Administrator of the DMC South Muhammad Raisi at his office.
Senator Yousuf Baloch said that it was among the top priorities of the present government to resolve basic problems of the people at their doorsteps.
He stated that in accordance with the directive of President Asif Ali Zardari, steps were being taken to serve the people in an effective manner and Lyari’s problems were also met on priority basis. Muhammad Raisi also apprised the senator of the problems being faced by DMC South. The administrator demanded that the DMC South be released its share under the head of property tax from November 2011 to August 2012. “This has resulted in a serious shortfall of the funds,” Raisi pointed out. Senator Yousuf Baloch assured that he would help resolve the problem at the earliest.
