Over 40 Rootsians became the first Pakistani students to add a new dimension to the Pakistan-China friendship by singing the Chinese and Pakistani songs and national anthems at the Chinese National Day reception held at the Embassy of People’s Republic of China (PRC).
The Roots Millennium Schools was the only local school which was invited for the ceremony. Clad in exquisite regional dresses, the students depicted the magnificent side of Pakistan and gave a spellbinding performance by singing the national anthems of the two countries live.
It was a heart-warming experience to witness the enthusiasm and missionary zeal and zest of the Rootsian students. The audience was mesmerized to listen to the melodious Chinese Anthem sung by the students.
People from the diplomatic community and all walks of life admired the most attractive group of children there and thoroughly enjoyed the performance given by them. The graceful and historic ceremony was attended by notable stake-holders and intellectuals dedicated to the cause of Pak-China friendship and the historic legacy of more than 60 years of diplomacy between the two countries.
The speakers on the occasion threw light on the Pakistan-China cultural and lingual connection and listed the enormous collaborative opportunities for the youth of both the countries that they could avail to an optimum level through a synergized approach.
Roots Millennium School CEO and founder of the Roots Chinese Language Department Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq had previously organized various initiatives, events, seminars, symposiums, parents’ days, language days, open days, media briefs, dignitaries’ visits and 60th year of diplomatic relationship ceremonies in support of Pak-China friendship during the last year.
Speaking to media at the ceremony, Mushtaq said, “Our enthusiasm, dedication and devotion to nurture Pak-China friendship are very profound. We, the Chinese Language Department and team are very committed to render our all-out support and to take an active part in any initiatives aimed at furthering this great national cause and promoting education and literacy in Pakistan. By the year 2020, I envision one million students learning Chinese language across Pakistani schools, both public and private”.
