Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has remarked that the overseas Pakistanis face unnecessary mess when they reach a Pakistani airport.
He also urged upon promulgation of one-window scheme on airports in Pakistan in order to facilitate the overseas Pakistanis.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary Monday heard the suo-motu case regarding misbehavior rendered to overseas Pakistanis.
Justice Jawad S Khwaja noted that those earning billions of dollars of foreign exchange for Pakistan are deprived of facilities when they come to their homeland.
Justice Khwaja observed that unlike the airports of foreign countries, old persons and ladies have to wait for long in the queues before they are entertained.
The Supreme Court directed Federal Investigation Agency, Immigration officials, Civil Aviation, and high-ups of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation to hold a joint meeting to resolve the matter and present the report of the meeting in the next hearing.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till October 1, 2012.
