Politics of Gujrat took a new turn when Chaudhry Ahmed Saeed, a brother of Pakistan People’s Party leader and Federal Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, said a statement issued here on Monday.
According to the statement, Saeed met PML-N President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and decided to join his party.
During the meeting which continued for an hour, Saeed discussed political situation in the country with Shairf.
Earlier, Saeed met Chief Minster Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and discussed matters of mutual interests.
Sources said that Saeed would run for a National Assembly seat against his brother in Gujrat.
The PML-N has been strengthening its position in Gujrat where at least three electable joined the part during the last couple of days.
