An engineer from the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) committed suicide after he was not given his salary for three consecutive months. As per details, Abdul Hameed, a WASA engineer, who was living in a rented house, was upset as he had not received his salary for the last three months. He could not arrange for admission fees and uniforms for his children, who were chucked out of their school, so he took his own life. His body has been sent to a hospital for post mortem.
The District Coordination Officer (DCO) said that the causes involved in his death are being looked into, as a note retrieved from his pocket clearly indicated that he was depressed for want of money. Abdul Hameed received his salary for one-month, after three months, but the amount was not enough to cover his expenses and that ultimately led to his suicide.

  1. i'm very sorry to Mr. Abdul Hameed and to his family on this incident that we could do nothing for him.WASA being the govt.sector, it's not supposed that the govt. will late the salaries of the employees. But now it's the duty of govt. to facilitate the family of his employee throughout their educational career and set the govt. jobs for mr.abdul hamee's sons when they grow up. he has two sons, ages ranging from 8 to 15 years..
we are facing this type of commitment with lives everyday.if you study the past and present news papers, you will find that on every heading we feel sorry.only protest is not the solution….we will have to fight for our rights.in our country about 30% people are on poverty line and about 12% below this line….it's time to get up.
