Markets to remain closed in protest against blasphemous film

Traders of the city have decided to observe a shutter-down strike tomorrow (Thursday) to register their protest against the blasphemous American film.
Religious scholars and office bearers of the traders’ associations of the city had decided this at a joint meeting in Alrahman Mosque. They decided that they would take a protest rally to the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad to register their protest against the blasphemous film and the pastor.
The meeting was attended by religious scholars, including Qazi Mushtaq, Maulana Abdul Rauf, Mufti Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Mufti Rizwan and Maulana Faisal, and trader leaders including Markazi Anjaman-e-Tajeraan Registers Acting President, Anjaman-e-Tajeraan Rawalpindi President Sharjeel Mir Markazi, Malik Shahid Ghafoor Paracha along with Sheikh Saleem, Ghulam Qadir Mir, Tahir Tajir Bhatti, Suhail Sadiq and others. Later, Sharjeel Mir met Pir Naqee-ur-Rahman and requested him to send his representatives to the rally.
