SBI chairman for increased coop between Sindh and Iran

Sindh Board of Investment Chairman Muhammad Zubair Motiwala said that huge potential exists to increase cooperation between the government of Sindh ad Iranian investors through joint venture projects specifically in power and energy, shrimp farming and infrastructure development projects.
He said this while meeting with Iranian delegation here at Sindh Board of Investment.
The SBI chairman extended warm welcome to the Iranian counterparts and said that regular exchange of trade and investment delegations between Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Iran will lead to improve economic ties between two countries.
Detailed presentation was given to the participants and information was disseminated about special incentive packages being offered for facilitation of foreign investors in Sindh. He further added that Pakistan is a safe destination for all investors from all over the world. He reiterated that the province of Sindh is blessed with huge quantities of coal reserves around 175 billion tons. The chairman showed keen concern to monitor cross border trade and strengthened investment promotion through regular channels.
On this occasion, Hammed Reza said that both Iran and Pakistan are ideal strategic location and extensive cooperation is needed to further enhance cooperation between the two countries.
This was expressed by Hammed Reza at his visit to SBI as a part of his official Tour to Pakistan. Secretary General Iran Electrical Industry Syndicate said the high-level Iranian delegation visited Sindh Board of Investment to explore investment opportunities in Sindh Hammed Reza said also invited Government of Sindh to constitute an investment delegation to visit Iran for enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The delegation was led by Hammed Reza, Secretary General Iran Electrical Industry Syndicate and Member Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines, TCCIM. It was also accompanied by Seyed Kazem Abidi, First Consul, Consulate of Iran in Karachi and Shahrokh Zahiri, Advisor & Head of Agricultural, Food Industry Committee along with Iranian businessmen prominent businessmen from Tehran Chamber of Commerce & Industry representing Textile, Agriculture and Financial CoS sectors. Earlier, the delegation was received by Director General Sindh Board of Investment, Mohammad Riazuddin.
