At least eight people, including a woman and two children, were killed and another four were injured in two acts of violence in Khyber Agency on Thursday. Officials and tribal sources said a vehicle hit an improvised explosive devise (IED) in Toda Valla area of Landi Kotal. They said five militants, including four Afghan nationals, were on board the vehicle. The IED explosion completely destroyed the car and killed all men inside. Tribal sources said the militants were associated with the banned Jaish-e-Mohammad.
The IED was believed to have been planted by militants from Lashkar-e-Islam, a rival militant group of Jaish.
