Two killed, six injured in Karachi violence, 16 including a target killer arrested

At least two persons were killed and six others injured in separate violent incidents in different localities of the city on Tuesday. The police arrested 16 suspects including a target killer during raids and search operation in different areas of the city and recovered arms from their possession.
According to details unknown armed men opened fire at two labors working in poultry feed producing factory in Ibrhaim Hyderi area injuring them critically and fled the scene.
The injured were rushed to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition but could not survive and succumbed to injuries.
In Lyari Aagra Taj Colony, unknown armed men opened fire at DSNG van of a private TV channel damaging the vehicle and injured driver identified as Aslam. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment.
Two persons identified as Musa and Arif were injured when unidentified assailants opened fire at them in Mangopir area.
Firing incidents continued in Lyari, Sohrab Goth and other areas of Karachi during which three people sustained injuries. The injured people were shifted to hospitals of concerned areas.
Special investigation cell of Saudabad police on a tip off conducted a raid in its jurisdiction during which a target killer Zeeshan was arrested and SMGs, other arms and bullets were recovered from his possession. The detainee belongs to a political party and during preliminary interrogation he has admitted target killing of several people in the city including a police cop Mohsin Ali.
East Range police during raids and search operation in different areas of Karachi arrested 15 accused and recovered arms and drugs from their possession.
