Businessman shoots partner over a loss

LAHORE – A man was gunned down over a monetary dispute in Ghaziabad on Sunday.
The deceased, Khalil Ahmad (30), was a Ghaziabad resident and had some monetary dispute with his business partner, who had born a business loss. Khalil’s partner Akram was demanding his invested money back despite a loss.
Yesterday, Khalil was standing outside his home when Akram approached him and demanded money upon which a scuffle started, which ended with Akram shooting Khalil, who was rushed to the hospital, where he died, while Akram fled. Police have registered a case against Akram and have started an investigation, while Khalil’s body has been shifted to the morgue for an autopsy.
SUICIDE: A 42-year-old man committed suicide on the railway tracks in Dharampura on Sunday. The deceased, Abdul Majeed, was a Dharampura resident and worked for Pakistan Railways. Financial crisis formed the basis of his mental disorder and was under treatment, said his brother. He said Majeed was not allowed to leave home as he had attempted suicide earlier as well.
Somehow he left his house yesterday morning with his bag and jumped in front of the train. Rescue 1122 rushed him to the Mayo Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. KNOCKED DOWN: An unidentified man was knocked down by a car in Burki police precincts on Sunday. The car driver managed to flee from the scene.
The police, with locals’ help, made several announcements from the nearby mosques, but nobody showed up to claim the body. The police have shifted the body to the morgue for an autopsy.
