Pakistan releases 48 Indian fishermen from Malir Jail

Pakistan released 48 Indian fishermen from Malir District Jail as a goodwill gesture afer External Affairs Minister SM Krishna’s visit on Monday.
The Indians were presented with flowers and gifts before they left for Lahore through bus where they would be handed over to Indian authorities at Wagah border.
Earlier, SM Krishna thanked the Pakistan government for the “wonderful gesture” of releasing all Indian fishermen.
Last month Pakistan had freed 55 Indian fishermen as a “goodwill gesture” on the occasion of India’s Independence Day.
It should be mentioned that 32 Indian fishermen are still in Pakistani jails and some 120 Pakistanis are in Indian jails.
