The pleasant weather in the twin cities attracted a large number of picnickers and fun lovers to popular recreational spots of the federal capital on Sunday. The intermittent rains compelled people to come out and enjoy the beauty of nature at Margalla Hills, Rawal Dam, parks and other recreational spots. Fun lovers in the twin cities spent their weekend at popular picnic spots as huge rush of families and youngsters was witnessed at various areas. The rains and the pleasant weather proved to be a treat for picnickers to enjoy the glimpses of nature and enjoy the weekend with friends and family gatherings. From the last few years, the trend of arranging family and friend parties at open air places of parks and hill sides have become popular among the nature lovers. “The rains have created a perfect atmosphere for barbeque and gave the fun lovers an opportunity of enjoying the chilly weather and the food with smoked aroma of burnt coals,” said a housewife. Weather had always been considered very important during picnics and these days families and group of youngsters had been kept busy throughout the weekend, as they were seen at roadside picnic spots of Margalla Hills, Lakeview Park and Chattar Park. The pleasant weather brought people out of their homes in the twin cities and a rush was witnessed at almost every park and recreational spots including National Monument, Daman-e-Koh, Fatima Jinnah Park, Lake View Park and within the premises of Shakarparian.
