The Resident Coordinator of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Timopakala has said that, with regard to Millennium Development Goals the province of Punjab has the best score on the positive indicators list.
In his report, prepared on behalf of UNDP, regarding implementation of Millennium Development Goals in Punjab, he said that, despite floods, law and order situation and international recession, which negatively impacted the economy of the province, performance indicators in Punjab have been much better than the national average. He reiterated that UNDP and United Nations would continue to assist Punjab to further enhance its efforts to achieve Millennium Development Goals till 2015.
