Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry NisarAli Khan on Thursday rejected the claims made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan that he had not been consulted over the names for caretaker prime minister. During an informal chat with reporters at the Parliament House, Nisar claimed that the PTI chief had been taken on board for presenting the names for the next caretaker prime minister. “PML-N leader Zahid Hamid sent the proposed names through a PTI leader to PTI chief Imran Khan,” Nisar said.
He claimed that Imran was giving “false statements” before the public for political point scoring, and to misguide the general public. Nisar said that Imran had rejected the names proposed by the PML-N, and instead suggested names of his choice. In response to a question, Nisar said that the public would make fun of Imran Khan if the names suggested by the PTI chief were disclosed.
