DG BISP dies in road accident

The director general of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) died in a road accident near Chakwal Monday.
According to rescue sources, Director General BISP Azam Saleem was on his way to Islamabad when his car turned turtle at Lahore-Islamabad motorway at Balkasar Interchange due to rain and over speeding.
As a result of accident, Azam Saleem died on the spot while his driver was injured.
On getting information Motorway police reached the spot and started rescue work.
Later on, they shifted the dead body and injured to DHQ hospital.

  1. Many times I have seen official cars doing well over the speed limit and wondered what would happen if a mishap occurred. Sad, needless tragedy.

  2. It is a very tragic and sad incident. Muhammad Azam Saleem Dr. Was a hard working officer who devoted himself for the service of the nation. He was very honest officer. I woprked with him as Municipal Engineer, Municipal Corporation Multan during the year 1997-98.

He was so kind and poor people helping officers , i have never seen , He was the great officer as well as Great human being who always make efforts to day and night for the betterment/development of the public where ever he was posted. He was totally development oriented officer. He made a great development in District Muzaffargarh during his posting as District Coordination Officer. He was the very first officer who first time in Muzaffargarh District for the construction of Postgraduate College (MA classes) and many other projects in Health and education Departments.

    He always remains in our heart and mind.
    May Almighty Allah rest his soul in peace.
