SBP holds walk to observe Anti-Dengue Day

All the staff and employees of the Sports Board Punjab and Sports Directorate on Sunday held a walk to observe the Anti-Dengue Day for the awareness of the people of all walks of life for the eradication of dengue from its root.
Secretary Sports Punjab Haroon Ahmed Khan led the walk for the awareness of the general public. He was accompanied by Provincial Health Advisor to CM while members of archeology and tourism departments were also part of the walk.
Haroon along with Salman led the walk from the footsteps of Lahore Fort to the main entrance of Minar-i-Pakistan Park. The participants of all the three departments were holding banners and placards for the awareness of the general public. They showed commitment to provide a neat & clean environment to the younger generation so that the healthy youth could actively serve the country.
Speaking on the occasion Haroon Ahmed Khan said that main purpose of holding of the Punjab Youth Festival in the province is to provide the youth healthy activity and develop a sense of responsibility towards healthy building a healthy society. Salman Rafique said that his government will not sit idle until the menace of dengue is eradicated from the provincial metropolis. “We are doing everything possible within our domain to finish the disease right from its base. And for the purpose everyone is being educated to work for the cause,” he maintained.

  1. wonderful measures has been taken against dengue last year by punjab govt. pakistan but lot is still to be done.proper training of vendors,shopkeepers,housewives who throw all the garbage on the road side.It is needed that the specific area should be assigned to the students and their family of the same locality ,permanently.the sweeper would clean the place garbage lifter would take garbage at given time ,the team of student monitor it and inform the uthority on time in case of negligence.then we can make our country dengue free
