Zardari announces LB polls before general elections

President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday announced that local bodies elections would be held before general elections.
Presiding over a meeting of Pakistan People’s Party’s core committee in Bilawal House Karachi on Sunday, he told his party leadership to prepare for elections.
In the meeting President Zardari directed party leadership to hold municipal elections before general elections and also to bring an ordinance for the local bodies elections if needed.
During the meeting, President Zardari was briefed about the preparations of municipal elections. The meeting told the president that an ordinance being put on place before ending the time of local bodies elections.
President also formed a two member committee comprising of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Law Minister Ayaz Soomro which would consult PPP coalition parties to finalise the ordinance.

  1. nice plan, now with sitting in power get some more PPP looters elected in LB, in return they will then favour and support you in general elections even if there is interim Govt in place!
